HIGHLIGHTS
Herricks 21, Bellmore JFK 6: Jack Scaldaferri did it on both sides of the ball for Herricks in Nassau II. He carried it 22 times for 137 yards and two touchdowns and led the Highlanders with eight tackles and a fumble recovery. Herricks opened the scoring when Mike Giordano hit Mark Marciano on a 15-yard go route right before halftime, and Scaldaferri gave Herricks a 14-0 lead in the third quarter with a three-yard TD run. After Bellmore JFK made it one-score game heading into the fourth, Scaldaferri showed his strength with a powerful run that sealed the game in the final quarter.. Scaldaferri took a hand-off at the 17-yard line, shook off initial tacklers, disregarded a tug of his face-mask and carried a defender on his back for the final five yards into the end zone to make it 21-6. Herricks' defense held Bellmore JFK to 141 yards of total offense.
