Valley Stream North 24, Baldwin 14: Brian Farrell found Ethan Ramnarain for a go-ahead 8-yard touchdown pass with 58 seconds remaining to lead Valley Stream in a Nassau I opener. Ramnarain's score gave the Spartans an 18-14 lead. Ryan John intercepted a pass and returned it 20 yards for a touchdown on the ensuing possession with 26 seconds left to seal the win. Farrell's 6-yard touchdown run earlier in the fourth quarter put Valley Stream North ahead 12-8. The victory was the first for Valley Stream North head coach Mike Paolillo.
