North Babylon 26, Newfield 20: DaiVon Lofton had a 20-yard touchdown run in overtime to deliver a 26-20 victory for North Babylon in its Suffolk IV opener. North Babylon forced a fourth-down stop in overtime before Lofton's score on its first offensive play of the period. Lofton rushed for 176 yards on 22 carries and Malachi Hunter ran for 128 yards and three touchdowns on 24 carries in the win. Newfield tied the score at 20 with 3:25 remaining in the fourth quarter after Devin Aviles had a 7-yard touchdown run and rushed in the ensuing two-point conversion. North Babylon had a chance to win the game in regulation but missed a 24-yard field goal with one second left in the fourth quarter.
