HIGHLIGHTS
Plainedge scored the game's first 33 points and rolled to a Nassau III semifinal win at Hofstra. Quarterback Dan Villari rushed for 171 yards and touchdowns of 64, 42 and 53 yards. Luke Lombardi had a 2-yard TD run and returned one of his interceptions 40 yards for a touchown; Dion Kuinlan ran for 72 yards and a 9-yard score and also had an interception; and Doug Elsessor and Donovan Pepe had touchdown recptions plus Joe Cassese had a n 81-yard kick off return for a touchdown for Plainedge (10-0). The defeding county champ will try to defend it next Friday against South Side (9-1). For NorthShore 8-2), whose Cinderella run from the No. 11 preseason seeding to the semis, got a 125-yard passing effort from James DeSimone on 10-for-18 passing with three interceptions and two touchdown - a 65-yarder to Jack Ludden and a 15-yeared to Aiden Mandell.
