Mt. Sinai 27, Hampton Bays 6: Ryan Jones rushed for 187 yards and one TD on 13 carries to lead No. 1 Mt. Sinai (9-0) over No. 8 Hampton Bays in the first round of the Suffolk Division IV playoffs. Jones opened the scoring with a 54-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Brandon Ventarola rushed for two scores and completed 6 of 12 passes for 70 yards and one TD. Joey Spallina had nine tackles and one interception, while Jones and Matt Graffeo added six tackles apiece. Mt. Sinai hosts No. 4 Babylon in the semifinals at 6 p.m. on Friday.
