South Side 21, Mineola 7: William Pickett had 20 carries for 141 yards and a touchdown to lead No. 2 South Side (8-1) over No. 7 Mineola in a Nassau Conference III quarterfinal. He also completed 7 of 15 passes for 71 yards and two touchdowns. Pickett opened the scoring with a 59-yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter and intercepted a pass near midfield with about two minutes remaining to seal the win. Matt Melkonian hauled in a 15-yard touchdown reception with five minutes left to extend the South Side lead to 21-0.
