West Islip 38, Bellport 34: While running a no-huddle offense on its final drive, Tim Weber found Matt Calhoun for a 7-yard touchdown with 59 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter for the game's final score as West Islip defeated Bellport, 38-34, in Suffolk Division II football Saturday. West Islip (6-1) went on an 11-play, 70-yard drive for the final score, starting the drive with 4:30 remaining in the contest. Anthony Sagginario had a key interception in the fourth quarter, setting up Joe Costantino's 13-yard touchdown run on fourth-and-2 to give West Islip a 31-27 lead with eight minutes left in the game. Costangino rushed for 130 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries and Dominic Sagginario had 50 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Kyle Haff and Donnie Ryan each had 8.5 tackles and two sacks in the win. Bellport falls to 2-5.
