Carey 41, South Side 0: Ray Catapano went 11-for-14 with 174 yards and four touchdowns to lead for Carey (1-0), which broke out for a 34-point first quarter in Conference II. He added three rushes for 23 yards. Andrew Ris' 48-yard interception return led to Conor Colasurdo's 2-yard run with 5:14 left in the first quarter, good for a 20-0 lead. Ris scored four minutes later, when John Heyer recovered South Side's fumble on the first play of the ensuing kickoff, leading to Catapano's 14-yard scoring pass. Casey Kloepfer and Thomas Gallant had six tackles apiece. Later in the quarter, Dylan DeMeo's 59-yard reception led to his subsequent 5-yard TD catch with a minute to play in the frame. He finished with five catches for 92 yards, and went 5-for-6 on extra points.
