Smithtown West 37, Half Hollow Hills East 27: Danny Caddigan rushed for 249 yards and one touchdown on 22 carries to lead Smithtown West in its Suffolk II opener. Isaiah Zuppa-Kirkpatrick had 18 carries for 110 yards and three touchdowns and also threw for a touchdown, a 28-yard strike to Nick DeFelice in the third quarter. Ethan VanDerBrink finished with 10 tackles, four for a loss, and one sack.
