HIGHLIGHTS
Connetquot 13, Northport 7: Cole Bunicci started and finished the game-defining drive for Connetquot. After recording an interception at Connetquot's 16-yard line, the T-Birds went on a 10-play, 84-yard drive, capped off by Bunicci's 5-yard touchdown on a back shoulder fade from Drew Guttieri with 44 seconds left in the third quarter. Bunicci recorded another interception with two minutes left around midfield to seal the win for Connetquot in its Suffolk II opener, and he added 10 tackles. Bunicci had eight receptions for 138 yards and two touchdowns and Guttieri completed 14 of 20 passes for 173 yards and two scores. Guttieri added 54 yards on eight rushes and Tyler Cordes had 60 yards on 13 carries in the win. Vinny Catania added two sacks for Connetquot.
