Hauppauge 39, Amityville 14: Dan Mauriello rushed 10 times for 134 yards and two touchdowns, caught two passes for 15 yards and a touchdown, and returned a punt 45 yards for a touchdown to lead Hauppauge to a season-opening win in Suffolk Division III. Mauriello scored the game's first four touchdowns, and the Eagles led 26-0 early in the third quarter after Chris Bartone added a 3-yard touchdown run. Zafir Benjamin later scored on a 31-yard run, and Kevin Sutton added the PAT for the final score of 39-14.
