HIGHLIGHTS

Patchogue-Medford 41, Whitman 38: Adrian Rutkowski caught a 31-yard pass from Tyree Jackson with 1:09 left in the fourth quarter to put Patchogue-Medford ahead by three before Jake Lamonica ended the ensuing Whitman drive with an interception on the Patchogue-Medford 15 yard-line. Patchogue-Medford (4-0) was led by Angelo DeVita, who ran for 211 yards and three touchdowns on 27 carries. Whitman (1-3) scored three consecutive touchdowns in the second half, including a 7-yard pass from Nicholas Bottoni to Greg Borysowski that put the Wildcats up, 38-34. Whitman got an interception on the ensuing Patchogue-Medford possession and returned it to the Patchogue-Medford 31-yard line, but the Raiders' defense got a stop on fourth down to set up the game-winning drive. Jackson added 107 rushing yards and a touchdown on 13 carries, and Rutkowski and Connor Hughes also intercepted passes for Patchogue-Medford. Bottoni completed 17 of 32 passes for 305 yards and four touchdowns and Timari Laster caught 12 passes for 253 yards and three touchdowns.
