Locust Valley 25, Mineola 12: Jordan Formicola had 47 yards rushing on eight carries and two touchdowns, including a 2-yard scoring run with 9:05 left in the fourth to give Locust Valley a 19-12 lead in the Nassau IV season opener for both squads. Matt Vezza ran for 153 yards on 15 carries and had two touchdowns, including a 30-yard run with 1:51 left to provide the final margin. Dan Syrett had two sacks and a fumble recovery and Yamique Webb had an interception in the win.
