East Rockaway 26, Island Trees 12: Caleb Alvarez ran for 151 yards and four touchdowns on 23 carries to lead East Rockaway (5-3) in Nassau IV. The win clinched the No. 5 seed in the county playoffs for the Rocks. Alvarez scored on 1-yard and 7-yard touchdowns in the first quarter and after Julian Palma connected with Franklin Infante on a two-point conversion, the Rocks led 14-0. Island Trees (5-3) got on the board in the second quarter on a 3-yard touchdown run by Ryan Mastropaolo, before Alvarez scored from 2-yard out with about a minute left in the first half to make the score 20-6. Alvarez scored again with an 11-yard touchdown to extend the lead to 26-6. Charles Harrison, Craig Kelly and Dominic Sarro had sacks and Rob Welch recovered a fumble for East Rockaway.
