HIGHLIGHTS
Freeport 36, Valley Stream Central 0: D'Monte Woody rushed for 135 yards and one touchdown on 13 carries to lead Freeport (5-2) in Nassau I. On Valley Stream Central's first drive, Woody picked off a ball and ran it down the left side line for a 77 yard interception return for a touchdown, giving Freeport a 7-0 lead. "It was a very athletic play," coach Russ Cellan said. "He's been making big plays for us this whole year. This was the biggest one he's made all year on defense." Woody worked well on all ends. He led the defense with seven tackles. Quarterback Davelle Hooks passed for 89 yards and one touchdown on 15 attempts. He also rushed for 30 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries. James Bodley had one sack.
