Wantagh 35, Long Beach 16: Michael Ferraro ran for 111 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries, and Peter Brasile ran for 95 yards on 13 attempts to power Wantagh (5-2) in Conference II. Vinny Vasheo returned a kick-off 80 yards for a touchdown midway through the second quarter to give Wantagh a 14-7 lead. Wantagh then scored three straight touchdowns. Brasile led Wantagh with 12 tackles at middle linebacker. Ralph Sommer chipped in with eight tackles.
