Mepham 33, Carey 7: Kenny Franquiz rushed 24 times for 197 yards, including a 17-yard touchdown in the third quarter, to lead Mepham in a Nassau Conference II opener. Jon Dijkstra opened the scoring with a 30-yard touchdown reception from Billy Kender. In the fourth quarter, Kender's 2-yard touchdown run made the score 26-0, and CJ Badenhop followed with a 3-yard touchdown for a 33-0 lead. Matt Hegi rushed 10 times for 63 yards and a touchdown and led the defense with 11 tackles.
