Plainedge 35, Mineola 6: Luke Lombardi scored four touchdowns to lead Plainedge in a Nassau III opener. Lombardi opened the scoring with a 72-yard touchdown reception and 2-yard rushing touchdown in the first. He also returned a kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown in the third, and returned a fumble 63 yards for a score later in the quarter. Plainedge quarterback Dan Villari completed 5 of 11 passes for 165 yards and a touchdown, and had nine carries for 98 yards and a touchdown.
