Hewlett 49, Glen Cove 21: Avi Fayer recorded a strip and fumble recovery for a touchdown on the opening play to set the tone for Hewlett in its Nassau III opener. Louis Esposito had four touchdowns (two rushing, two passing) for Hewlett and Zion Blackman had three touchdowns, two rushing and one receiving, in the win. Blackman and Esposito connected on a 15-yard touchdown late in the first half to give Hewlett a 21-14 lead and Esposito found Ryan May for a 25-yard touchdown in the third quarter to take a 28-14 advantage.
