HIGHLIGHTS

Mt. Sinai 28, Babylon 0: Mike Sabella rushed for 194 yards on 21 carries and three touchdowns to lead No. 1 Mt. Sinai (10-0) over No. 4 Babylon in the Suffolk IV semifinals. Andrew Sartori blocked a punt that led to a safety and opened the scoring in the first quarter. Antonio Palmioto also blocked a punt in the third quarter. Brendon Ventarola and Matthew LoMonaco connected for a 32-yard touchdown. Robert DeMeo led Mt. Sinai with 11 tackles. Sartori added eight tackles. Joey Spallina and Ryan Jones each contributed seven tackles. "Babylon is always a very tough opponent," Mt. Sinai head coach Vin Ammirato said. "We've gone back and forth with them for years. Tonight we got the better of them." Ammirato added "Sabella in my opinion and I think a lot of people's opinions, he is the best back in the division," he said. "He comes in every day, he works hard. Tonight, even when he wasn't running the ball, he was playing tough and doing all the little things to make sure we would be successful. I can't say enough about his work ethic and his performance tonight put us over the top." Mt. Sinai faces No. 2 Shoreham-Wading River in the final on Thursday, Nov. 15 at Stony Brook at 7 p.m.
