HIGHLIGHTS
Lindenhurst 21, Bellport 6: Michael Varela went 8-for-17 for 135 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for a 1-yard score to lead Lindenhurst (6-2) in Suffolk II. Varela found Michael Anderson for a 35-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter, and hit Jack Hogan for a 37-yard score to put Lindenhurst ahead 13-6 in the third quarter. Anderson ran for 75 yards on 15 carries, and Hogan ran for 55 yards on five carries. Hogan also added eight tackles and a sack, Dean Morreale had 16 tackles, two sacks and a fumble recovery, and Will Ruckert had eight tackles and three sacks.
