Lynbrook 34, Hewlett 32: Joe Grossi, on a naked bootleg play, went untouched for a game-winning 18-yard touchdown run with about three minutes left to lead Lynbrook (5-2) over Hewlett in a back-and-forth battle in Conference III. After the score, Hewlett returned the kick-off to the 50. Yet on a fourth-and-14 play, Lynbrook's Steven Rabinovich jumped a route in the flat and intercepted a pass intended for a Hewlett running back with about 40 seconds left to seal the game. Grossi ran for 228 yards and two touchdowns on 31 attempts and completed six of nine passes for 89 yards and a score. Dylan Lucas ran for 102 yards and two scores on 23 carries. In addition to lineman Brian Burke, Lynbrook consistently ran the ball in a bunch formation behind the strong blocking of receivers Owen Daly, Eddie Bouhall and Zach LoCiero.
