HIGHLIGHTS
Islip 13, Deer Park 7: Kieran Mullins went untouched on an off-tackle run to the right side for 17 yards on the second play of overtime to lead Islip (6-1) in Division III. Deer Park threatened on 4th-and-goal from the 9, yet Mullins, while playing safety, deflected a pass in the end zone to seal the win. After Deer Park scored the game's first touchdown with eight minutes left in the fourth, Mullins, again going to his right, broke two tackles for an 11-yard TD run, which tied the score with 3:25 left in regulation. Mullins' run capped a 72-yard, 14-play drive. Linebacker Craig Hinrichs led Islip with nine tackles, including two that went for a loss. Mullins finished with 141 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries, and completed 11 of 14 passes for 98 yards.
