Smithtown East 35, Riverhead 19: Kevin Melore went 12 for 16 with 282 yards, three touchdowns and one interception to lead Smithtown East (2-1) in Suffolk II. Melore also had a rushing touchdown in the second quarter to put Smithtown East ahead 14-0 at halftime. Nicholas Lardaro had two catches for 75 yards and a touchdown, Joe Saccone had three catches for 72 yards and a touchdown and James Peters caught three passes for 52 yards including a 10-yard touchdown that gave Smithown East a 28-7 lead in the third quarter. Dean Shaffer rushed 16 times for 122 yards and a touchdown and had eight tackles for the Bulls.
