Connetquot 40, Northport 30: Marcus Gutierrez ran for 278 yards on 34 carries and six touchdowns in Suffolk I. The six touchdows tied the school record, set by Mike Pellegrino in 2010, coach Mike Hansen said. Gutierrez has 20 rushing touchdowns this season. As a team, the Thunderbirds ran for 422 yards, thanks to steller blocking from the offensive line. Gutierrez's five yard touchdown run with four minutes left in the game gave Connetquot a 34-30 lead. Mike Ansaldi broke up a pass on a third-and -seven to force a three and out on Northport's next drive. Gutierrez scored his final touchdown of the night, a six yard scamper, with 58 seconds left in the game. Jack Richardson ran for 101 yards on 10 carries. Chris Beal had 17 tackles and forced a fumble to lead Connetquot (6-1).
