Wyandanch 26, Port Jefferson 23: Freshman DeAndre Smith picked off a pass in the end zone as time expired to seal the victory for Wyandanch (2-0) in Suffolk IV. Niquan Joiner connected with Erik Witherspoon for a game-winning 45-yard touchdown catch with 18 seconds remaining on the clock with the Warriors down 23-20. Joiner went 9-for-14 for 162 yards and two touchdowns. Delroy Copeland ran for 54 yards on six carries with a touchdown. Dionte Jordan had 10 carries for 76 yards. Justin Stewart ran back a 40-yard interception for a touchdown in the first quarter to open the scoring. Eric Dennis, Smith and Stewart each had an interception. Smith also recovered a fumble. Copeland, Shykim Rich and Elliott Burkes Jr. each made two sacks. Smith had six tackles. Erick Burkes added five tackles.
