Lynbrook 14, Bethpage 13: John DiBenedetto's 1-yard run with 2:02 remaining capped an 81-yard drive that gave Lynbrook (2-3) the lead for good in Nassau III. After Bethpage scored a touchdown to go ahead with 5:27 remaining, Lynbrook embarked on its winning drive, which was highlighted by a pair of fourth down conversions. On fourth-and-20 DiBenedetto completed a 55-yad pass to James Gillespie. Later in the drive he completed a 35-yard pass to Joe Demonte on fourth-and-12 that got the ball to the 1-yard line before DiBenedetto punched it in. Bethpage returned the ensuing kickoff to the Lynbrook 40-yard line and got as far as the 30 before Lynbrook made a defensive stand to turn the ball over on downs.
