Long Beach 41, Westbury 18: Wally Sofield went 7-for-8 for 199 yards and three touchdowns to lead Long Beach (1-4) in Nassau I on Friday. Sofield and Gerard Burns connected for a 72-yard touchdown in the second quarter to extend the Long Beach lead. Javonte Neals ran for 100 yards on five carries including a 66-yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter to give Long Beach a 14-0 lead. Amir Hodge ran for an 80-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. Ryan Buonocore recovered a fumble, which led to a 4-yard touchdown run by Tyler Fergerson on the next drive which was 50 yards. For Westbury, Tabshem Strong ran for 69 yards on 13 carries and three touchdowns.
