HIGHLIGHTS

Carey 41, Herricks 0: Running back Mike DeLeo rushed for 92 yards and two touchdowns on eight attempts to lead Carey (6-0) in Nassau II. With 7:08 into the first quarter, DeLeo ran an option 44 yards down the right side of the field for a touchdown, giving Carey a 13-0 lead. With 2:19 remaining in the first, wide receiver Nick Spillane picked up a ball off a punt return rolling along the right side line, cut all the way across to the left side, and ran it 60 yards back for a touchdown, giving Carey a 34-0 lead. Quarterback Ray Catapano threw for 112 yards and two touchdowns on seven attempts. After a 25-yard punt return from safety Nick Conte, bringing the ball to the 15, Catapano found wide receiver Dylan DeMeo with a fade pass to the right side for a 15-yard touchdown pass, leading Carey 41-0. "Catapano has been very efficient and does a great job taking care of the football," coach Mike Stanley said. "He's recognizing coverages and throwing it to the right spot." This was Catapano's 20th touchdown pass of the season. Defensive tackle Paul Koprowski had a sack and cornerback Jack Esposito had an interception. Middle linebacker and running back Connor Colasurdo led the defense with six tackles.
