HIGHLIGHTS
Mepham 33, Carey 13. Michael Proios threw for two touchdowns and ran for another to lead the Pirates in a Nassau II semifinal at Hofstra. Proios ran for 104 yards, including a 66-yard TD, and passed for 138 yards and two TDs. Mepham (8-2) will face Garden City next Friday for the county title. Devin Hartz made 12 solo tackles for Carey, which finished 5-5.
