HIGHLIGHTS
Babylon 40, Glenn 7: Joe Rende ran 31 times for 173 yards and three touchdowns, and also completed five of eight passes for 78 yards and two touchdowns to lead No. 1 Babylon (10-0) over No. 4 Glenn in the Suffolk IV semifinals. Babylon led 14-0 in the first quarter after Rende touchdown passes of 13 and 18 yards to Gejuan Booker and Aidan LaRock. Glenn scored on the first possession of the second half on a 25-yard touchdown pass from Kyle Szokoli to Jon Green to make the score 20-7, but Babylon responded with an 80-yard drive that ended with the second of Rende's three touchdown runs. Taylor Tanner had seven tackles and a sack and Matt Moretti had four tackles and recovered a fumble for Babylon, who have now made the county final in 16 of the last 20 seasons. Babylon plays No. 2 Miller Place for the Suffolk IV championship on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 7 pm at Stony Brook University.
