HIGHLIGHTS
Farmingdale 49, Uniondale 34: Kevin McCormick rushed for 152 yards on 30 carries scoring five touchdowns and he completed 5-of-11 passes for 87 yards and a touchdown clinching the win for No. 4 Farmingdale (6-3) over No. 5 Uniondale in the Nassau I Quarterfinals. The Dalers scored 21 unanswered points in the first quarter, two rushing touchdowns by McCormick and a 52-yard receiving touchdown by Matt Olbeter. Uniondale came close to closing the deficit in the fourth after Danny Ashley scored on a 23-yard rushing touchdown which left the score at 35-34. The Dalers went ahead, scoring 14 unanswered points. Anthony Armstrong scored off a 15-yard run and McCormick finished the game with a 3-yard rushing touchdown. Linebackers Vinny Delia and Dan Almedina combined for 18 tackles. Ryan Charleston led the defense with eight tackles. Farmingdale plays No. 1 Oceanside Saturday the 11th for the semifinals.
