Port Washington 34, Roosevelt of Yonkers 22: Elliot Avidane went nine for 11 with 145 passing yards and a touchdown to lead Port Washington in a Hudson River League opener. He had nine carries for 44 yards and a rushing touchdown. Drew Turner had eight carries for 42 yards and a rushing touchdown, along with 51 receiving yards and a touchdown. Zach Tantillo and Don McMurtry combined for five sacks.
