Riverhead 28, Whitman 0: Quarterback Cody Smith had 140 passing yards for one touchdown on 17 attempts to lead Riverhead (5-1) in Suffolk II. On Whitman's first possession, cornerback Ryan Hubbard picked off a pass and ran it back for a 47 yard touchdown, giving Riverhead a 7-0 lead. This was one of Hubbard's two interceptions. With 5:28 remaining in the second quarter, Smith threw a 31-yard deep corner route pass to wide receiver Andrew Kinard. The touchdown gave Riverhead a 21-0 lead. Running back Jeremiah Cheatom rushed for 124 yards and one touchdown on 18 attempts. Middle linebacker Mike VanBommel led the defense with 10 tackles. Defensive end Ryan Harkin had eight tackles.
