Deer Park 24, Amityville 0: Jashawn Thompson ran for 311 yards and three touchdowns on 26 carries to lead Deer Park (4-2) in Suffolk III. The junior came within a yard of tying his career high, which he set earlier this season. Led by left tackle Valter Piccini, the Falcons offensive line created several holes for Thompson. His 56-yard touchdown run, on a counter off right tackle, gave Deer Park a 7-0 lead with 7:01 left in the first quarter. Thompson scored again in the first, on a 65-yard burst off left tackle, pushing the lead to 14-0. Thompson, at middle linebacker, had 12 tackles, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Defensive end David Hamil had eight tackles and a fumble recovery, and Chris Tavella, Angel Bien and Zach Lugo each had an interception for Deer Park.
