HIGHLIGHTS
Willy Monroy's 12-yard touchdown run with 7:11 left in the fourth quarter gave Commack (6-0) a 28-14 lead, following Billy Holscher's extra point in Division I. Nick Soriano's 24-yard touchdown reception from Ryan Hoffman brought Lindenhurst (1-5) to within seven, but the Cougars ran out the final 3:24 behind the running of Monroy, who finished with a team-leading 246 yards rushing on 20 carries and two touchdowns. Rob Paccione completed 8 of 14 passes for 175 yards and two scores, with three interceptions. Matt Recek had four receptions for 81 yards and a touchdown. Augie Contressa finished with three receptions for 92 yards and a score. Middle linebacker Josh Valentin led the defense with 10 tackles, two for a loss. Outside linebacker Mike Messinger had eight tackles and defensive end Christian Costello added seven tackles.
