HIGHLIGHTS
Mike Ciuffo made 11 of 22 passes for 222 yards and two touchdowns to lead Plainedge (2-0) in Nassau III. Ciuffo also rushed for 20 yards scoring on a 16-yard run. Dion Kuinlan had 18 carries for 138 yards and a touchdown. Brian Bornkamp had three catches for 57 yards, including a 34-yard pass for a touchdown. Giancarlo Vacca was 5-for-5 in PATS. Plainedge left Glen Cove scoreless in the first half. Joe Carlato recovered a fumble late in the fourth quarter on the 1-yard line to keep Glen Cove at bay. Bornkamp and Safe Farid added two sacks.
