Carey 21, Valley Stream Central 2: Anthony DeNicola had eight carries for 67 yards including a 42-yard touchdown run to lead Carey in Nassau II opener. Barry Moore also scored a rushing touchdown along with three carries for 17 yards. Frank Porcasi and Samer Ciftcikal disrupted Valley Stream Central offense in the backfield. Ciftcikal and Devin Hartz each had a sack. Hartz, Nicholas Brusca and Andrew Scarpinito each caught an interception.
