HIGHLIGHTS
Riverhead 21, Smithtown West 0: Quarterback Cody Smith passed for 172 yards and two touchdowns on 13 attempts to lead Riverhead (4-1) in Division II. Smith also had two rushing touchdowns on two attempts. Running back Jeremiah Cheatom rushed for 164 yards and a touchdown on 34 attempts. Cheatom completed an inside run up the middle, and finished the run virtually untouched, as he scored with 4:38 remaining in the game, giving Riverhead a 21-0 lead. Mike VanBommel had 10 tackles and an interception and Mike Drexel had eight tackles and a sack to lead the defense. "Smithtown West has one of the top running backs on Long Island and I didn't expect a shutout," assistant coach Bill Hedges said.
