Riverhead 35, North Babylon 6: Inside linebacker Mike VanBommel had 13 tackles and Raheem Brown had 10 for Riverhead (1-0), which kept North Babylon off the board for three quarters in Suffolk II. Brown added a fumble recovery while VanBommel snagged a 23-yard pass from Cody Smith in the third quarter to make it 28-0. Smith went 13-for-20 with 152 yards and two touchdowns.
