Xavier 19, St. John the Baptist 13: Demetrios Demetriades had a 20-yard touchdown run on the first play for Xavier after St. John the Baptist's fumble in the second overtime for the opening victory in CHSAA. Nicholas DelCore kept the game alive for St. John the Baptist with a 56-yard touchdown run with 10 seconds remaining in the game on a quarterback trap out of the shotgun, breaking free up the middle, making some juke moves before running free to the outside for the score. DelCore finished with 100 yards on 12 carries. Daniel Parker had a 41-yard fumble recovery in the first quarter to give St. John the Baptist a 7-0 lead and Michael Palermo finished with two sacks.
