HIGHLIGHTS

Hicksville 26, Uniondale 19: Tommy Orlando accumulated 240 all-purpose yards with four TDs to lead Hicksville (1-4) in Nassau I. After Hicksville fell behind early, Orlando put the Comets on the board with a 65-yard rushing score in the first quarter bring Hicksville within 7-6. After his 10-yard score gave Hicksville a 14-7 lead at halftime, Uniondale returned the opening kick-off of the third quarter for a TD to make it 14-13. Orlando responded, though, returning the ensuing kick-off 80 yards for a score as he weaved in between his blockers and ran to the end zone to make it 20-13. His 7-yard TD in the fourth made it 26-13. The win snapped a 14-game losing streak for Hicksville, which dated back to 2011. "This validates all the hard work we put in," Hicksville coach Richard Carroll said. "It definitely put our program moving back in the right direction." Uniondale is 0-5.
