Rocky Point 30, Islip 27: Sean McGovern's 43-yard field goal in double-overtime propelled Rocky Point (4-2) to a dramatic win in Suffolk III. After a 10-yard touchdown run in the first overtime pushed Islip ahead 27-20, Pete LaSalla tied the game for Rocky Point with a 15-yard rushing touchdown. LaSalla also tied the game at 20 late in the third quarter with a 30-yard scamper into the end zone. LaSalla finished with 109 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries, as well as an interception on defense. Alec Rinaldi found McGovern on a 60-yard touchdown pass to open the scoring in the first quarter. McGovern returned the favor with four minutes remaining in the second quarter, as he hit Rinaldi for a 30-yard touchdown on his lone passing attempt of the night. McGovern added 15 yards on the ground on five carries, while Rinaldi had six rushing attempts for 25 yards.
