HIGHLIGHTS
Rocky Point 27, Amityville 21: Amityville had the ball at the start of the second overtime. Sean McGovern caught an interception in the endzone giving the ball to Rocky Point. Pete LaSalla scored off of a 20-yard run leading Rocky Point (2-1) in Suffolk III. It started in the third quarter, Pete LaSalla blocked a punt and it was recovered by Ryan Maciazek, setting up a 5-yard touchdown run by McGovern. Damian Rivera threw for the two-point tying the game, 14-14. With a scoreless fourth quarter, the game moved on to overtime. In the first OT, Amityville scored first. LaSalla then scored off of a 20-yard run to tie, to move into the second overtime. The rest is history. LaSalla had 10 carries for 75 yards and two touchdowns. McGovern had 11 carries for 91 yards and a touchdown. Rivera was 8 for 11 for 90 yards and a touchdown.
