Elmont 48, Carey 34: Aaron Ruthman completed 19 of 30 passes for 316 yards and six touchdowns to lead Elmont (2-0) in Nassau II. After Carey's Shaheem Taylor-White ran 80 yards for a touchdown on the first play from scrimmage, Elmont answered with a three-play, 65-yard drive that ended with Ruthman's 34-yard touchdown pass to Sevin Malcolm (five receptions, 101 yards and two TDs). The Spartans forced a three-and-out on Carey's next possession, and Joshua Milfort St. Cyr returned the punt 42 yards for touchdown that gave Elmont a 12-7 lead. The Spartans led 34-14 at halftime.
