Malverne 16, Locust Valley 14: Maurice Teachey followed his 34-yard touchdown run by completing a two-point conversion on the ground to give Malverne (2-0) an 8-7 lead with 11:12 remaining in the game in Nassau IV. After forcing a three-and-out defensively on the ensuing drive, Teachey took a carry 65 yards untouched down the right sideline and Elijah Lewis' two-point conversion run gave Malverne a 16-14 lead with with 7:32 left. Keenan Herlich reeled in a 3-yard touchdown from Francesco Anile as Locust Valley cut the game to 16-14 with 3:07 left. Locust Valley got the ball back after a defensive stop but its 35-yard field goal attempt on fourth-and-10 fell short with 35 seconds left. At no point in the game did they believe or feel they weren't going to win," said Malverne coach Kito Lockwood.
