Mt. Sinai 32, Port Jefferson 12: Running back Mike Carniero had 11 carries for 128 yards and a touchdown to lead Mt. Sinai (1-1) to a Suffolk-IV victory. Mt. Sinai got off to a quick start by outscoring Port Jefferson 12-0 in the first quarter thanks to a 25-yard score from Carniero and a 10-yard rushing touchdown from Mike Sabello. Mt. Sinai extended the lead in the second quarter with two more touchdowns and entered the half with a 26-0 lead. Quarterback Jay Shlonsky had a nine-yard touchdown carry in the third to give Mt. Sinai a 32-0 advantage. Shlonsky also completed 1-of-3 passes for 30 yards and came up with an interception on the defensive side of the ball.
