HIGHLIGHTS
Babylon 27, Shoreham-Wading River 21: Scott Sasso hit Kenny Rohl for a nine-yard touchdown pass in overtime to lead Babylon (2-0) in Suffolk IV. With Babylon trailing 21-7 at halftime, Jason Carlock caught a 30-yard touchdown pass over the middle from Sasso, cutting the deficit to 21-14. In the fourth quarter, Charlie DiPalma had a sack on second down, slowing Shoreham's momentum and leading to two incomplete passes. Babylon tied the game in the fourth quarter when Sasso passed 10 yards to Shaun Kaminsky in the corner of the endzone. "In my 28 years as Babylon coach, this was one of the bigger regular season games," said Coach Rick Punzone. "To beat Shoreham with three sophomores on the [offensive] line, it shows a lot of character on our part." Babylon's win snapped Shoreham's 25-game winning streak, which was the longest on Long Island.
