Seaford 42, North Shore 33: A.J. Cain ran for 85 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries and also completed 3 of 3 passes for 125 yards and a touchdown to lead Seaford in a Nassau IV opener. Danny Roell rushed 14 times for 155 yards and a touchdown and also hauled in a 65-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter. Mike Andersen ran 28 times for 215 yards. Coach Rob Perpall said Kevin Murphy was integral defensively in the second half, as Murphy had two interceptions and blocked an extra point in the fourth quarter to half North Shore's comeback.
