Miller Place 45, Hampton Bays 2: Tyler Ammirato had 120 yards and three touchdowns on nine carries to lead Miller Place in its Suffolk IV opener. Kevin Gersbeck had three receptions for 87 yards, two going for touchdowns from Christian McPartland. McPartland finished 5-of-7 for 101 yards, two touchdowns and rushed for 51 yards on six carries. Alex Herbst had two sacks and Eric Cisneros had an interception on top of a perfect 5-of-5 on extra points. Shane White had six tackles -- four solo -- and Joe Filippetti added seven tackles. Miller Place rushed for 305 yards.
